Equity Builders has been fixing and replacing roofs in Wichita, Kansas since 1985. Todd Bonnell started the company after growing up in Derby and working construction jobs through high school. Forty one years later, Equity Builders is still locally owned, still run by the same family, and still answering the phone when a Wichita homeowner finds a leak after a storm.
Equity Builders is a general contractor, not just a roofing crew. Storm damage rarely stops at the shingles, so we also handle siding, windows, doors, and painting, all under one roof, literally and figuratively. When a hailstorm rolls through Sedgwick County, most of what your insurance policy covers is work we can do ourselves, which means one company to call instead of four.

How We Got Started
Todd learned roofing the hard way, on job sites, not in a classroom. He saw how many Wichita homeowners got talked into repairs they did not need, or worse, got left with a roof that failed again the next hailstorm.

Forty one years later, that rule hasn’t changed, and Todd still leads the same locally owned, family-run company today, answering the phone himself when a Wichita homeowner needs help.
